  • Quick Sealing
  • Rapid Setting
  • Non-corrosive
  • Volume Stable
  • Fast & Easy

AQUAPLUG is a cement based, rapid setting hydraulic compound. It is specially formulated to instantly stop the flow of running water under pressure. Holes, cracks & faults, which may cause leakage & seepage through concrete walls, slabs & under floors are securely plugged. Aquaplug will also stop leaks around inserts such as pipes & sleeves for general masonry works. It is also applicable for architectural or non-structural concrete & masonry repair works on mines, sewers, tanks, tunnel reservoirs and pits. Suitable for interior and exterior concrete surfaces, as well as under water applications.

COVERAGE

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface must be clean and free from contaminants such as dirt, dust, loose material, oil & chemicals. Use a wire brush or any suitable tool to clean the surface.

For gaps with width and depth smaller than 19mm, chisel the hole to make the largest part of the opening and going narrower as it connects to the hole. If hole or crack is not leaking during the time of repair, soak area with water before applying Aquaplug.

APPLICATION GUIDE

1. Mixing

Mix Aquaplug with clean water to form a mass approximately the same shape as the hole or crack to be plugged. Aquaplug must be applied immediately before the mass hardens (1 minute after adding clean water). Aquaplug cannot be reused once it hardens.

2. Application

a. Push and force a mass of Aquaplug firmly with your palm, a trowel or a block of wood into the opening and hold for 2 minutes. To seal wall to floor joints, press Aquaplug with a round tool & smoothen as it sets on the applied area. Note: Aquaplug needs 2-3 minutes to resist water pressure. Constant exposure to water will harden Aquaplug allowing it to set on the application area.

b. Use a knife or trowel to remove excess product. Keep the area damp for at least 15 minutes.

Special Applications:

To stop streams of running water from flowing through concrete walls or pipes, apply successive small rolls of Aquaplug by pushing them firmly starting at the highest point of the crack. When the application area is where water pressure is greatest, hold Aquaplug in your hand or use a trowel until a slightly warmth or drying starts, Exert pressure over Aquaplug for a few minutes, or until material sets and active water stops flowing.

3. Finishing

Wait 24 hours or until Aquaplug has completely cured before any finishing application can be done.
